New Jersey artist, J Hacha De Zola released his latest single, “I’m High,” on April 4th of this year. Despite his upcoming album’s title, Without a Tribe, J (as he is known) certainly has a tribe. The album includes a slew of talent consisting of Fernando Velez (Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings) and producer John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr., Waxahatchee, Horsegirl).
J Hacha De Zola’s “I’m High,” is anything but a tale of euphoria. Of the track, J says, “despite one thinking of ‘getting high’ as a euphoric experience, as any true addict will tell you, it soon stops being fun and becomes a sickening, nauseating need.” [sic].
