Amaris Pollinger

Founder/Editor-in-Chief
Amaris Pollinger’s portfolio includes the likes of All Time Low and nothing, nowhere. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, with a BA in English and is currently pursuing an MFA from Emerson College. Passionate about the message (and the person) behind the music rather than the genre, she has a knack for analyzing songs and extracting their deeper meaning (she can’t help it, really). When she isn’t stressing about Nere Magazine, she is spending time with her family and fulfilling her role as a mother, Army wife, and “the neighborhood vampire” (that’s a real nickname her nosy-ass neighbors gave her). She is an enrolled citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, of Mexican/Egyptian/French descent, and devoted to spotlighting (seriously) underrepresented voices. You may not like what she has to say…but it’s probably true.
Morrighan Lee

Contributing Writer
Morrighan Lee’s passion for music began early, performing in choirs, bands, and theater throughout school. At 15, she picked up the guitar and started writing songs. In 2024, she formed Anam Cara whose debut album, From Ashes, was released in 2025. Outside of music, Morrighan is a busy mother of two and serves as the Director of Philanthropy for Heberle’s Heartstrings, a musical instrument lending library. She released her debut novel, Rise of the Druid Princess in 2025.
Jillian Jaramillo

Contributing Writer
Jillian Jaramillo is a Disney, dog, and music fanatic. She earned her BA in Theatre Arts from New England College and is currently pursuing an MFA from Emerson College. In her spare time, Jillian enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Arrow, curling up with a comfy blanket, a cup of tea, and a good book, and playing video games.
FAQS:
We reserve the right to publish and unpublish as we see fit. This is true even after an interview has been conducted. We reserve the right to refuse coverage if we do not feel that the pitch aligns with our publication.
Before haunting our inbox, please refer to the following common questions:
Are you hiring?
We are open to contributors but only if you are experienced with at least 3 years of entertainment/pop culture journalism under your belt. Our Editor/founder already has a baby to take care of.
Can I pay you to write for me?
Sure, but that does not mean we work for you. Sorry. We are more than open to having a business relationship but no, you are not our boss. If you would like to give us money, you can drop a donation in our coffee donation box.
Do you write Music Bios or Press Releases?
Yes, but not for free. Sorry, that one you cannot just drop in the donation box. Fill out the contact box for more.
Why is there so much pop on your site? Do you only cover pop music?
No, it’s just the majority of what gets thrown at us at the moment. For the love of God, someone send the Editor a dirty, disgusting garage rock band.
